Macy's Search Strategy
Owned the product strategy for Macy’s onsite search platform, driving $60–100M in incremental revenue across 500M+ annual searches, influencing executive decision-making and earning endorsement from the President of Macy’s. Led a team of product managers across multiple delivery tracks to scale search performance and reliability. Rebuilt search intelligence from the ground up with ML and NLP-based query understanding and ranking systems to improve search relevance, personalization and user experience, resulting in increased conversion and engagement. Drove cross-functional initiatives to implement personalized search and recommendation models and partnered with engineering and architecture to re-platform search infrastructure using Solr, enhancing scalability, relevance tuning, and performance to support rapid catalog growth. Conducted competitive benchmarking across leading retailers to identify innovation opportunities and inform strategic investments.
